The Festo 558233 is an electrically actuated piston gate valve with a soft sealing principle and internal pilot air supply port, designed in accordance with ISO 5599-2. This piloted component features a pressurization valve function with a non-reversible flow direction, mechanical spring reset, and a switchover pressure presetting of 0.4 MPa within an operating pressure range of 0.2 MPa to 1.2 MPa (2 bar to 12 bar). It provides manual override via detenting or self-resetting through an electrical control signal, switching position sensing with a sensor, and tolerance for a max positive test pulse with 0 signal of 2500 µs and a max negative test pulse on 1 signal of 1400 µs. Built for universal mounting positions, the unit exhibits vibration and shock resistance corresponding to severity level 2 testing standards and requires a forced dynamization switching frequency of at least once a month.
